HOSPITALIZATION PLAN

Coverage is provided by Monumental Life Insurance Company, except in the state of New York.

Product Highlights
  • No Medical Exam or Lengthy Health Questions

  • 30-Day Free Look: If you're not satisfied for any reason, you may return your certificate of insurance within 30 days after receipt. Your premium will be refunded. When so returned, the certificate is void from the beginning.

  • Firm Quotes: Unlike other life insurance quotes you can get online, we won't quote the low, preferred rate and then raise the rates you actually pay based on your answers to health questions on the application. If you're accepted for coverage, you will pay the rate we quote.

  • Guaranteed Acceptance: All GEA members and spouses under age 65 are eligible for coverage.

  • Benefit Level: Members and spouses can elect a $100 or $200 Daily Benefit Amount. (The amount of the Daily Benefit will be reduced by 50% at age 65.)

  • Elimination Period: Benefits are payable after the first 5 days of hospital confinement.

  • If confined to an Intensive Care or Cardiac Care Unit or as a result of Cancer, the Daily Benefit is doubled. (Double benefits cease at age 65.)

  • You will collect benefits over and above any other insurance you may own. All benefits are paid directly to you or to the health care provider if you prefer. It’s your decision.
